Synopsis

This fast-paced and action-packed suspense thriller introduces us to Special Forces Sergeant John Bishop, decorated war hero, and nephew of crime boss, Gonzalo Valdez. After returning home from Afghanistan John’s hopes for a peaceful future are quickly shattered when he is catapulted back into the global war on terror through a succession of life-threatening events and corrupt intrigue.

He battles against terrorist operatives in New York, a powerful Afghan warlord, and a psychopathic billionaire with powerful White House connections. When John’s uncle gets involved, he proceeds to treat John’s enemies to a bitter taste of mob vengeance.

From that point on the ride speeds up and the reader will have to hold on for dear life. This is a thriller not to be matched for intensity and breathless excitement—not for the faint-hearted.

What Readers are Saying

Frightening and Thrilling!

"This book is a THRILLER in the true sense of the word. It kept me sitting on the edge of my seat with anxiety and anticipation as the plot unfolded. The writing is so vivid that the characters and scenarios really come to life. With the interlocking intrigue of a Lower East Side drug family's evolution, and one son's heroic career as a Special Forces Sergeant who comes home to find himself and his family drawn into personal wars with both terrorists and government agents, it's just action-packed with twists and turns on every page. It's frightening and thrilling."

Take no prisoners

"If you like an action packed read, this is for you. John Bishop takes no prisoners. He is Special Ops but no longer in the military. He has lost many friends and he will find their killers. He has allies in the military and a crime family that both support him. If you like an action filled book with a good wins over evil theme this is for you."

Terrorists, gangsters, rogue federal leadership, and page-turning justice on steroids as revenge mixes with family honor

"An outstanding and wide sweeping plot with great characters and plenty of twists and unexpected turns balances American lives on a knife edge. Afghanistan militants reach across the oceans with picked sleeper cells and ruthless lieutenants to kill and destroy, all in the name of their god. The plot is to shut New York down and with it, the rest of the United States.

Plans begin to unravel when a recently returned special ops soldier senses something wrong in Central Park and takes action with only seconds to spare. Well written, imaginative solutions to nearly impossible situations and a great start for a series. Well worth the time."
